Indications
Candibac is used for ear infections, including otitis externa and otitis media with a perforated ear. Candibac effectively treats Otomycosis with Clotrimazole and provides excellent pain relief for acute otitis media with Lidocaine.
Pharmacology
Candibac contains Beclometasone, Chloramphenicol, Clotrimazole, and Lidocaine to treat ear infections. Lidocaine is a local anesthetic that blocks pain signals to the brain, reducing pain. Beclometasone is a steroid that reduces redness, swelling, and itching in the ear. Clotrimazole is an antifungal that stops fungi from growing by preventing them from forming a protective covering. Chloramphenicol is an antibiotic that stops bacteria from growing by blocking the production of essential proteins.
Dosage & Administration
Adult & Elderly: Use 2 or 3 drops in the affected ear 2 to 3 times a day for 7 to 14 days.
Otitis Externa: From 6 months and older.
Otitis Media: From 12 years and older.
