Indications
Oxifun is used to treat certain skin infections like athlete’s foot, jock itch, and ringworm caused by fungi. Oxifun is also used to treat a condition called tinea versicolor, which is caused by a type of fungus called Malassezia furfur.
Pharmacology
Oxifun contains an antifungal ingredient called Oxiconazole Nitrate. Oxifun works by preventing the production of ergosterol, which is important for the fungus’s cell membrane. This helps stop the growth of the fungus. Oxifun is effective against many types of fungi, including those that cause athlete’s foot, jock itch, ringworm, and tinea versicolor.
Dosage & Administration
For adult use: Apply the cream to the affected area and the skin around Oxifun once or twice a day for conditions like athlete’s foot, ringworm, or jock itch. For tinea versicolor, apply once a day. Continue treatment for 2 weeks for most conditions and for 1 month for athlete’s foot to help prevent Oxifun from coming back.

Contraindications
Oxifun should not be used by anyone who has had an allergic reaction to Oxiconazole in the past.

This medicine is considered safe to use during pregnancy. However, because Oxifun can pass into breast milk, Oxifun’s important to talk to your doctor before using Oxifun while breastfeeding.
