Indications
Sulderm Cream 15gm is used to treat fungal infections like tinea cruris (jock itch), tinea corporis (ringworm), and tinea versicolor, caused by various fungi. Sulderm Cream 15gm helps relieve symptoms in a few days and shows clinical improvement in about a week. Sulderm Cream 15gm has not been proven effective for treating athlete’s foot (tinea pedis).
Pharmacology
Sulderm Cream 15gm is an imidazole derivative that works by preventing the growth of fungi that cause skin infections. Sulderm Cream 15gm targets dermatophytes like Trichophyton rubrum, Trichophyton mentagrophytes, Epidermophyton floccosum, and Microsporum canis, as well as the fungus causing tinea versicolor, Malassezia furfur. Sulderm Cream 15gm has shown no irritation or contact sensitivity in tests.
Dosage & Administration
Apply a small amount of the solution to the affected skin area, gently massaging Sulderm Cream 15gm in once or twice a day. Symptom relief usually happens within a few days, and improvement is seen within a week. To prevent recurrence, continue treatment for 3 weeks. If there is no significant improvement after 4 weeks, consult for an alternate diagnosis.
Pediatric Use: Safety and effectiveness in children have not been established.
Geriatric Use: There is insufficient data on how elderly patients respond differently from younger patients. No differences have been observed in clinical practice.

Contraindications
Sulderm Cream 15gm is not recommended for patients who are allergic to any of its ingredients.
Side Effects
Side effects are rare and mainly involve mild skin reactions like itching (1%) or burning/stinging (1%), which typically don’t interfere with treatment.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Sulderm Cream 15gm is classified as pregnancy category C by the FDA. Animal studies have shown harmful effects in rats at high doses, including prolonged labor and death, but no birth defects were found at lower doses. There is no human data available on its use during pregnancy or lactation.
Precautions & Warnings
Sulderm Cream 15gm should only be used on the skin and kept away from the eyes. If irritation occurs, stop using Sulderm Cream 15gm and seek medical advice. Patients should be instructed to follow the prescribed usage and avoid eye contact.
Carcinogenesis, Mutagenesis, Impairment of Fertility: Long-term animal studies on its cancer-causing potential have not been done. Sulderm Cream 15gm has shown no mutagenic effects in lab tests.
