Indications
Alaradate 10 is used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and narcolepsy.
Pharmacology
Alaradate 10 works by increasing the levels of norepinephrine and dopamine in the brain. This helps improve attention and control impulses, especially in people with ADHD. Alaradate 10 has different effects depending on the dose; higher doses may cause restlessness and affect movement, while lower doses mainly improve attention and reduce impulsivity. Alaradate 10 also helps with cognitive function and working memory. Some research suggests that Alaradate 10 helps children with ADHD who have certain gene variations related to dopamine.
Dosage & Administration
Child (over 6 years): Start with 5 mg once or twice daily, increasing by 5-10 mg weekly if needed. The maximum dosage is 60 mg daily in divided doses. If there is no response after one month, stop the medication. The treatment may be discontinued during or after puberty.
Child (under 6 years): Not recommended.
Adult: Take 10-15 mg daily in 2-3 divided doses, with an average dosage of 20-30 mg daily. Some patients may need 40-60 mg daily. If the medication affects sleep, take the last dose before 6 pm.

Alaradate 10 slows down the elimination of phenytoin and may increase the effects of blood thinners like Coumarin. Alaradate 10 can also raise the levels of imipramine and desipramine in the blood.
