Indications
Clindax-B 20gm is used only on the skin. Clindax-B 20gm is for treating mild to moderate acne, especially the red and inflamed spots, in adults and teenagers aged 12 and older.
Pharmacology
Clindax-B 20gm works by stopping bacteria from making proteins, which are necessary for their growth. This helps to treat acne. Clindax-B 20gm also kills bacteria by creating special molecules that attack the proteins, stopping them from functioning properly. Over time, Clindax-B 20gm helps reduce the buildup of oil and dead skin around hair follicles. Clindax-B 20gm can also help the skin shed dead skin cells faster, which reduces acne.
Dosage & Administration
Adults and Teenagers (aged 12 and above): Apply this gel once a day in the evening to the entire affected area. Applying more than needed will not make Clindax-B 20gm work better, but could cause skin irritation. If your skin becomes too dry or starts peeling, use Clindax-B 20gm less often or stop using Clindax-B 20gm for a short time. You should start seeing improvement in 2-5 weeks. Do not use Clindax-B 20gm for more than 12 weeks in a row.
Children under 12: This gel is not recommended for children under 12 years old.
Elderly: There are no special instructions, but apply the gel carefully after washing and drying the skin.
Interaction
Clindax-B 20gm can make certain medicines work more strongly, like muscle relaxants (e.g. atracurium). Clindax-B 20gm may also reduce the effect of some other drugs. If you use this gel, Clindax-B 20gm may change the results of blood tests, especially tests for blood clotting. Sunscreens with PABA can cause temporary stains on fabric.
Contraindications
Clindax-B 20gm is not for people who are allergic to clindamycin, benzoyl peroxide, or any ingredients in this gel.
Side Effects
The most common side effects are skin redness, peeling, dryness, and burning. These are usually mild. Some people might experience a rash or worsening of acne. Rarely, there may be more serious reactions, such as allergic reactions or digestive issues like diarrhea or stomach pain.
Pregnancy & Lactation
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor before using this gel. Clindax-B 20gm is not known if Clindax-B 20gm is safe for use during pregnancy, so Clindax-B 20gm should only be used if your doctor says Clindax-B 20gm’s necessary. There is no information about whether this gel passes into breast milk, so use Clindax-B 20gm carefully if you are breastfeeding.
Precautions & Warnings
Keep the gel away from your eyes, mouth, or broken skin. If Clindax-B 20gm accidentally touches these areas, rinse Clindax-B 20gm off with water. Clindax-B 20gm should be used carefully if you have a history of stomach or gut issues. If your skin becomes very irritated, you may need to stop using the gel for a while or use a moisturizer. Always use sunscreen and avoid prolonged sun exposure, as this gel can make your skin more sensitive to sunlight.
Resistance
Clindax-B 20gm is less effective if you have recently used other antibiotics like clindamycin or erythromycin, as the bacteria may be resistant to them.
Interaction with Other Medications
Be careful when using this gel along with other strong skin products, especially those with alcohol or other drying ingredients, as Clindax-B 20gm may cause more irritation.
