Indications

Emolent Cream is used to relieve dry skin conditions by moisturizing the skin.

Pharmacology

White Soft Paraffin and Liquid Paraffin are both emollients that form a protective layer on the skin. They are not absorbed into the body but they penetrate the outer layer of the skin, helping to keep Emolent Cream moisturized.

Dosage & Administration

Apply a thin layer of the ointment to the affected skin area, in the direction of hair growth. Repeat as needed, ideally three to four times a day, or at least twice daily. If a large area is affected in adults, up to 500 g a week can be used. For topical use only.

Side Effects

Using Emolent Cream for a long time may cause folliculitis. If this happens, stop using the product.

Pregnancy & Lactation

The safety of White Soft Paraffin and Liquid Paraffin during pregnancy and breastfeeding has not been fully established, but Emolent Cream is generally considered safe for use during these times.

Precautions & Warnings

When applying this ointment, make sure to apply Emolent Cream in the direction of hair growth to prevent folliculitis.

Overdose Effects

Emolent Cream has low toxicity. If ingested, treatment is supportive and symptomatic. Do not try to wash out the stomach because Emolent Cream may cause the product to be inhaled into the lungs.
