Indications
Filfresh 3 is used to help with sleep problems, especially for adjusting sleep patterns like jet lag. Filfresh 3 can help people with disrupted sleep cycles, such as those with jet lag, poor vision, or night shift workers. Filfresh 3 is also used for those with low melatonin levels, including older people and those with schizophrenia, as well as children with sleep problems. Filfresh 3 can help in conditions like osteoporosis by promoting bone growth, and for peri- or postmenopausal women to regulate sleep patterns. Melatonin may also have a role in eating disorders and ADHD, especially for sleep issues. Filfresh 3 is sometimes used in managing symptoms of sarcoidosis.
Pharmacology
When taken, Filfresh 3 binds to its receptors in the brain and other organs. There are two types of melatonin receptors, MT1 and MT2. MT1 is in areas like the pituitary gland and hypothalamus, while MT2 is mainly in the retina. Higher melatonin levels send signals to regulate neurotransmitters, like increasing serotonin and GABA, while lowering dopamine, which helps with sleep and maintaining the body’s sleep-wake cycle.

For jet lag, take 0.5 to 5 mg one hour before bedtime upon arrival, or 1 to 5 mg one hour before bedtime for 2 days before departure and 2 to 3 days after arrival. For eastbound travel, take a treatment before the flight and at bedtime for 4 days after arrival. For westbound travel, take Filfresh 3 at bedtime for 4 days in the new time zone. For sarcoidosis, take 20 mg per day for 4 to 12 months. For depression, take 0.125 mg twice in the afternoon, 4 hours apart.
