Indications
Cinaron Plus is used to treat issues related to poor blood flow in the brain, such as dizziness, ear ringing (tinnitus), headaches, irritability, tiredness, sleep problems, memory loss, and lack of focus, especially in older adults. Cinaron Plus also helps with problems caused by brain or head injuries, stroke recovery, and migraines.
For poor blood flow in the limbs, Cinaron Plus can help with symptoms like pain when walking, ulcers, numbness, cramps, and cold hands or feet due to conditions like arteriosclerosis, Raynaud’s disease, or diabetes.
Cinaron Plus is also used to treat balance problems caused by inner ear issues, vertigo, dizziness, nausea, and vomiting, as well as to prevent motion sickness.
Pharmacology
Cinaron Plus contains two main ingredients, Cinnarizine and Dimenhydrinate, which belong to different medicine groups. Cinnarizine works as a calcium blocker, and Dimenhydrinate is an antihistamine. Both ingredients help reduce dizziness and nausea, making this combination more effective than using them separately.
Dosage & Administration
Adults: 1 tablet, three times a day, after meals.
Children & Adolescents (under 18 years): Not recommended.
Elderly: Same dosage as for adults.
Interaction
Avoid alcohol, CNS depressants, or tricyclic antidepressants while using this medicine, as they can increase its sedative effects.
Contraindications
This medicine should not be used by patients with severe liver problems, hypersensitivity to any ingredient, glaucoma, seizures, high brain pressure, alcohol abuse, or difficulty urinating due to prostate issues.
Side Effects
Possible side effects include drowsiness, dry mouth, headache, and stomach pain. Rare effects are blurry vision, allergic reactions, sensitivity to light, and difficulty urinating. Other side effects may include weight gain, constipation, chest tightness, yellowing skin (jaundice), worsening glaucoma, or unusual movements and excitement.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Cinaron Plus should not be used during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
Precautions & Warnings
Cinaron Plus does not significantly lower blood pressure but should be used carefully in people with low blood pressure. Cinaron Plus should be taken after meals to reduce stomach irritation, and caution is needed when used in patients with Parkinson’s disease.
Overdose Effects
Symptoms of overdose include drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, flushing, fast heartbeat, fever, headache, and difficulty urinating. In severe cases, breathing or circulation may be affected. Treatment includes general supportive care and gastric lavage with isotonic sodium chloride solution.
