Indications
Becosules GOLD is used to treat patients who have a deficiency of, or increased need for, Vitamin B-complex and Vitamin C. This includes cases where the diet is poor or unbalanced, such as in anorexia, diabetes, obesity, and alcohol use. Becosules GOLD is also helpful when the normal intestinal bacteria are altered by antibiotics, in long-lasting diarrhea, or in chronic stomach problems. People with higher needs due to fever, infections, surgery, burns, and fractures may benefit from this treatment. Becosules GOLD is also used for conditions like mouth sores, inflammation of the tongue, and skin rashes. During pregnancy and breastfeeding, Becosules GOLD helps with micronutrient needs.
Pharmacology
Becosules GOLD contains Vitamin B-complex and Vitamin C, which help various enzymes that manage how the body uses carbohydrates, proteins, and fats.
Thiamine (B1) helps break down certain acids in the body, like pyruvic acid. Riboflavin (B2) plays an important role in energy production. Pyridoxine (B6) helps with amino acid processes and supports immune responses. Vitamin B12 is necessary for DNA production and red blood cell growth. Nicotinamide also helps with energy production in cells. Calcium Pantothenate helps with acetyl group transfers and immune responses. Folic acid, once converted in the body, helps make red blood cells and supports immune health. Ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) is essential for producing collagen, converting folic acid, and supporting immune function.
These vitamins are water-soluble, so the body does not store them, and any excess is passed out in the urine. Regular intake is required to avoid deficiencies, which can lead to symptoms like slow wound healing and increased risk of infection. Severe vitamin deficiencies are rare but can cause diseases like beriberi, pellagra, and scurvy.
Dosage & Administration
Becosules GOLD is recommended to take one capsule daily, or as advised by a doctor.
Interaction
Folic acid may reduce the blood levels of phenytoin, a medication used to control seizures. Pyridoxine may lower the effects of levodopa, which is used to treat Parkinson’s disease.
Contraindications
Becosules GOLD should not be used by anyone allergic to any of its ingredients.
Side Effects
Some allergic reactions may occur, especially in people sensitive to methyl parahydroxybenzoate or thiamine. Rarely, repeated injections of thiamine may cause severe reactions. Flushing, itching, or burning of the skin may happen in those sensitive to nicotinamide.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Although no studies have been done on this specific product, other reports show that water-soluble vitamins can be safely used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Precautions & Warnings
If you have a deficiency or higher need for Vitamin B-complex or Vitamin C, this treatment should be combined with specific therapy for the main condition. Treatment should continue only until the deficiency is corrected or the need for supplementation is resolved. Pyridoxine may reduce the effects of levodopa in Parkinson’s disease, and Riboflavin can cause yellow urine. The treatment may also cause a false positive for sugar in urine tests because of the presence of ascorbic acid.
Overdose Effects
There is no available information on overdose effects for this product.
Therapeutic Class
Becosules GOLD is a combined vitamin preparation.
Storage Conditions
Store Becosules GOLD in a cool, dry place away from light and out of reach of children.
