Form: Nasal Spray
Strength: 50mcg/spray
Generic Name: Fluticasone Propionate Nasal prep
Company: Beximco Pharmaceuticals Ltd.
MRP:৳ 250.0 (120 Metered Sprays)
Is Antibiotic: No
Indications
Perinase is used for the prevention and treatment of seasonal allergic rhinitis (like hay fever) and perennial rhinitis. Perinase has strong anti-inflammatory effects on the nasal passages without affecting the rest of the body.
Pharmacology
When applied to the nasal passages, Perinase works by reducing inflammation and narrowing the blood vessels. While the exact process isn’t fully known, Perinase may reduce the number of certain cells like basophils, leukocytes, and mast cells. Perinase also lowers the sensitivity of sensory nerves and decreases mucus production. Other effects may include reducing swelling in blood vessels and preventing the release of harmful enzymes.
Dosage & Administration
Adults & Children over 12 years: Use 2 sprays in each nostril once a day, preferably in the morning. In some cases, 2 sprays in each nostril twice a day, but do not exceed 4 sprays total.
Children 4-11 years: Use 1 spray in each nostril once a day. Do not exceed 4 sprays total per day. There is not enough data for use in children with perennial rhinitis.
Children under 4 years: The safety and effectiveness in children below 4 years have not been established.
Perinase should be used regularly for the best results, as directed by a doctor.

Contraindications
Perinase is not recommended for people who are allergic to any of its ingredients.
Side Effects
Since Perinase is absorbed less into the body, side effects are less common. However, some may experience dryness in the nose and throat, an unpleasant taste or smell, and an increased risk of nosebleeds.
Pregnancy & Lactation
There aren’t enough studies in pregnant women. Perinase should only be used during pregnancy if the benefits to the mother outweigh any potential risks to the baby. Perinase is unknown if Perinase passes into human breast milk, so caution should be used when given to breastfeeding women.
Precautions & Warnings
Rare cases of wheezing, nasal septum damage, cataracts, glaucoma, and increased eye pressure have been reported. While side effects are minimal with the recommended dose, they may increase with higher doses, so larger doses should be avoided.
