Indications

Genacid is used to relieve symptoms of hyperacidity like peptic ulcers, gastritis, heartburn, sour stomach, and hiatus hernia. Genacid also helps prevent stress ulcers and GI bleeding. Genacid works as an antiflatulent to reduce gas symptoms, including post-operative gas pain. Genacid quickly relieves acid pain, removes gastric foam, and helps release gas and air.

Pharmacology

Genacid is a combination of substances that neutralize acid and relieve gas. Aluminium Hydroxide and Magnesium Hydroxide neutralize stomach acid and help heal ulcers. Simethicone helps reduce foam by forming a thin film on liquids, which causes foam bubbles to collapse. Genacid also helps gas bubbles in the GI tract come together and be released.

Genacid is used to treat bloating, gas, and discomfort in the stomach. Simethicone does not get absorbed into the body and does not affect stomach acid or nutrient absorption. Genacid is excreted unchanged in the stool after being taken orally.
