Pharmacology

A-One Plus is a combination of Paracetamol and Caffeine. Caffeine also raises the pain tolerance and helps improve blood flow in the brain, which is useful for treating headaches and migraines.

Child dose: Not recommended for children under 12 years.

Interaction

A-One Plus may interact with other medications like anticonvulsants (e.g., phenytoin, barbiturates, carbamazepine) by lowering serum levels. Prolonged use can increase the anticoagulant effect of warfarin. A-One Plus may also accelerate absorption with metoclopramide and domperidone, increase serum levels with probenecid and chloramphenicol, and reduce absorption when taken with colestyramine. Be cautious with phenothiazine as A-One Plus may cause severe hypothermia.

Side effects are usually mild but may include blood issues such as thrombocytopenia, leukopenia, pancytopenia, neutropenia, and agranulocytosis. Other rare side effects include pancreatitis, skin rashes, and allergic reactions.
