Indications
A-Pak SR 200 is used to relieve pain and inflammation in conditions like osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, toothache, trauma, and lower back pain.
Pharmacology
A-Pak SR 200 is a non-steroidal drug with anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving effects. A-Pak SR 200 works by blocking the enzyme cyclooxygenase, which helps produce chemicals called prostaglandins that cause pain and inflammation. After oral intake, A-Pak SR 200 is quickly absorbed and remains unchanged in the body.
Dosage & Administration
Extended Release Tablet: The usual dose for adults is 200 mg once daily or as prescribed by a doctor.
Film-Coated Tablet: The usual dose for adults is 100 mg twice daily.
Interaction
A-Pak SR 200 does not have major drug interactions, but careful monitoring is needed when used with:
- Lithium and Digoxin: May increase their levels in the blood.
- Diuretics: May reduce their effectiveness.
- Anticoagulants: May increase blood-thinning effects.
- Methotrexate: May raise its blood levels.
