Indications
Adimod is used to boost the immune system in conditions where the body is prone to frequent infections, especially in the lungs. Adimod is for people with repeated respiratory infections, asthma, chronic lung diseases like bronchitis, sinusitis, pneumonia, and other immune-related conditions.
Pharmacology
Adimod strengthens both parts of the immune system: humoral immunity and cellular immunity through T cells. Adimod helps move white blood cells (macrophages) to fight infections. Adimod works by improving the body’s defense system, not by killing bacteria directly. Adimod helps protect against infections caused by both Gram-positive and Gram-negative germs.
Adimod is absorbed quickly in the body after being taken by mouth. The peak concentration in the blood is reached about 1.5 hours after taking Adimod. The bioavailability is about 42-44%. Adimod is best to take Adimod two hours before or after eating. Taking Adimod with food can delay how fast Adimod works and reduce its effectiveness by up to 50%. Adimod doesn’t have much effect on other medications in the body. Adimod is eliminated through the urine.
