Indications
Caripa is used for treating low platelet count (thrombocytopenia) caused by Dengue or chemotherapy. Caripa also helps to:

Pharmacology
Caripa comes from the papaya plant, which is known for its health benefits worldwide. Many studies have been conducted on different parts of the papaya plant, including the fruit, seeds, leaves, and roots. The leaf is considered safe with a high lethal dose of more than 15 g per kg of body weight.
Research has shown that Carica papaya leaf extract may help increase platelet count. Other studies have shown that the leaf extract has the ability to stabilize membranes, preventing damage to red blood cells.
Dosage & Administration
Adults: Take 250 mg (1-2 capsules) 2-3 times a day for 5-12 days.
Children (1 to 5 years): Take 1 teaspoon (5ml) three times a day for 5 days.
Children (5 to 18 years): Take 2 teaspoons (10ml) three times a day for 5 days.
Adults (18 years and above): Take 3 teaspoons (15ml) three times a day for 5 days or as prescribed by your doctor.
Interaction
Caripa may increase the effect of amiodarone, so the dose should be adjusted when used together. Caripa has also been shown to enhance the effectiveness of antibiotics such as penicillin, ampicillin, amoxyclav, and others. The combination of Carica papaya extract with antibiotics has been found to work better against harmful bacteria.
Contraindications
Caripa should not be used by those who are allergic to Caripa or pregnant. Men with prostate issues (such as BPH or prostate cancer) should avoid Caripa, as Caripa increases iron absorption, which could increase the risk of oxidative stress and prostate cancer.

Caripa is not recommended for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Precautions & Warnings
People with bleeding disorders or those taking blood-thinning medications (like aspirin or warfarin) should use Caripa cautiously. If taken with oral diabetes medicine, Caripa may cause dangerously low blood sugar levels, so regular monitoring is necessary.
