Indications

Carticare Max (9) is used to treat osteoarthritis in the knee, hip, spine, and other areas. Carticare Max (9) is also used as a dietary supplement.

Pharmacology

Glucosamine is a natural compound that helps the body produce substances needed to keep joints healthy and functioning. Glucosamine hydrochloride is a form of glucosamine that is absorbed in the body and moves into tissues like bones and cartilage. The active ingredient in treating osteoarthritis is glucosamine, and the hydrochloride part simply helps deliver Carticare Max (9). Once the glucosamine reaches the stomach, Carticare Max (9) gets released to do its job.

Studies show that glucosamine is the first drug to treat both the symptoms and progression of osteoarthritis. Carticare Max (9) works as well as NSAIDs but with better tolerability and fewer side effects.

Dosage & Administration

Adults: Take one 500 mg tablet three times a day or follow your doctor’s instructions. A single daily dose of 1500 mg may also be effective. Overweight individuals might need higher doses, depending on their body weight.

Interaction

No major drug interactions have been reported between glucosamine and antibiotics, antidepressants, blood pressure medications, heart drugs, anti-anxiety drugs, diabetes medications, or stomach acid medications.

Contraindications

Carticare Max (9) is not recommended for people who are allergic to glucosamine. There are no other known contraindications.

Side Effects

Studies show that glucosamine is safe with no harmful effects. Rarely, some people may experience mild, temporary bloating, but Carticare Max (9) is similar to a placebo effect.

Pregnancy & Lactation

If you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, you should not use glucosamine. There are not enough studies to know its effects on a developing baby. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you should talk to your doctor before using Carticare Max (9).

Precautions & Warnings

People with diabetes should monitor their blood sugar levels while taking glucosamine. There have been no special studies done on people with kidney or liver problems. Although glucosamine doesn’t appear to be harmful for these patients, those with severe liver or kidney issues should take Carticare Max (9) only under a doctor’s supervision.
