Indications
Clascon is used for treating acne in people aged 12 and older.
Pharmacology
Clascon is a medication that works by blocking androgen receptors, which are involved in causing acne. By binding to these receptors, Clascon prevents the actions of hormones like testosterone and dihydrotestosterone (DHT) that contribute to acne development. Clascon helps to reduce oil production, skin inflammation, and the growth of acne-causing bacteria.
Clascon is also effective for androgenetic alopecia (hair loss caused by hormones) as Clascon prevents the hormone DHT from binding to receptors in the scalp, stopping hair loss and promoting hair growth.
Dosage & Administration
Adult & Elderly: Apply a thin layer (about 1 gram) of cream to the affected area twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening. Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, or mucous membranes. If contact occurs, rinse with water.
Pediatric patients: The safety and effectiveness of this cream for children under 12 have not been established.
