Indications
Cyclorin is used to help increase tear production in people whose tear production is low due to eye inflammation caused by dry eye syndrome (keratoconjunctivitis sicca).
Pharmacology
Cyclorin is a sterile eye drop that works as an immunomodulator to help with tear production in people who have low tear production due to inflammation from dry eye syndrome.
Dosage & Administration
Adults: Place one drop in each eye twice a day, about 12 hours apart. Cyclorin can be used with artificial tears, but make sure to wait 15 minutes between using the products.
Pediatric patients: The safety and effectiveness in children under 18 years old have not been established.
Interaction
No significant interactions have been reported.
Contraindications
Cyclorin is not recommended for use in people with active eye infections or those who are allergic to any ingredient in the product.
Side Effects
The most common side effect is a burning feeling in the eye. Other possible side effects include redness of the eye, eye discharge, watery eyes, eye pain, feeling like something is in your eye, itching, stinging, and blurred vision.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Cyclorin is a pregnancy category C drug. There are no well-controlled studies in pregnant women, so Cyclorin should only be used if necessary. The drug can pass into breast milk, but Cyclorin is unclear whether Cyclorin does so after being applied to the eye. Caution should be taken when Cyclorin is used by nursing women.
Precautions & Warnings
Do not use this drug while wearing contact lenses. If you do wear contact lenses, remove them before applying the drops, and wait 15 minutes before putting them back in. This medication can cause blurry vision, so avoid activities that require clear vision, like driving, until you are sure you can do them safely.

Storage Conditions
Keep Cyclorin in a cool, dry place, away from light. Keep Cyclorin out of the reach of children. Do not use Cyclorin more than 4 weeks after opening the bottle.
