Indications
Daclin Lotion is used to treat acne vulgaris. Daclin Lotion can also be used for other skin problems like erythrasma (skin infection), rosacea, periorificial dermatitis, folliculitis, chronic swelling, and skin ulcers.
Pharmacology
Daclin Lotion is an antibiotic that helps treat infections caused by certain bacteria. Daclin Lotion works by blocking the production of proteins in bacteria, which prevents their growth. Daclin Lotion is effective against harmful bacteria like Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, and anaerobic bacteria.
Dosage & Administration
Adults: Wash the affected area with warm water or soap and wait for 30 minutes for the skin to dry. Apply a thin layer of the lotion twice a day. Do not wash the area for 3 hours after applying. You should notice improvement in about 6 weeks, but 8 to 12 weeks may be needed for full benefit. Avoid contact with eyes, lips, and nose.
Interaction
Daclin Lotion can increase the effect of other medicines that block muscle movement. Be careful when using with these medicines. Daclin Lotion should not be used at the same time as erythromycin because they may not work well together.

Daclin Lotion is not contraindicated for any condition.
Side Effects
Side effects are rare. Possible effects include skin rash, itching, oily or dry skin, redness, burning, changes in skin color, diarrhea, and stomach issues.
Pregnancy & Lactation
There is not enough information to confirm Daclin Lotion is safe during pregnancy. Animal studies showed no harm to the baby. Daclin Lotion is not known whether Daclin Lotion passes into breast milk, but Daclin Lotion can be used during breastfeeding with caution.
Precautions & Warnings
Do not use Daclin Lotion in the mouth, eyes, or vagina. Avoid sunlight or tanning beds while using this product. Always wear sunscreen.
Overdose Effects
Overdosing in the vagina is not possible. If the product is accidentally swallowed, Daclin Lotion could cause effects similar to taking too much oral clindamycin.
