COPD: Decomit Plus 100 is used for treating severe COPD, especially in patients who have frequent flare-ups despite using long-acting bronchodilators.

Pharmacology

Decomit Plus 100 is a combination of Beclomethasone Dipropionate and Formoterol Fumarate. This inhaler uses an environment-friendly hydrofluoroalkane (HFA) base instead of chlorofluorocarbon (CFC), which is harmful to the ozone layer.

Beclomethasone Dipropionate: This is a potent corticosteroid that reduces inflammation in the lungs when inhaled, without the side effects seen with oral steroids.

Formoterol Fumarate: This is a long-acting bronchodilator that works quickly to open up the airways in the lungs. Decomit Plus 100 stays mostly in the lungs and doesn’t spread much to the rest of the body.
