Dementa 5 is well absorbed after oral intake and takes about 3-7 hours to reach its peak concentration in the body. Dementa 5 is mostly excreted unchanged in the urine. Food does not affect its absorption, and Dementa 5 is only slightly metabolized in the liver.

Dosage & Administration

Adults & Elderly: The recommended dose is 20 mg per day. To reduce the risk of side effects, the dose should be gradually increased over three weeks:

Week 1: 5 mg in the morning.

Week 2: 5 mg in the morning, 5 mg at night.

Week 3: 10 mg in the morning, 5 mg at night.

Week 4 and onwards: 10 mg in the morning, 10 mg at night.

If a dose is missed, take the next dose at the usual time. Do not take double doses.

In Renal Impairment: Patients with moderate kidney issues should take 10 mg per day. Severe kidney impairment should also follow the 10 mg dose per day.

In Hepatic Impairment: No adjustment needed for mild to moderate liver issues. Dementa 5 should not be used for severe liver impairment.

For Children: Dementa 5 is not recommended for children under 18 years due to lack of safety data.
