Indications

Dot is used to treat conditions like stomach cramps, intestinal cramps, and other related issues such as gallstones, spastic constipation, painful bowel movements in dysentery, menstrual cramps, and blood flow problems. Dot is helpful in treating heart problems like angina pectoris and heart insufficiency, as Dot does not affect the heart or blood pressure negatively.

Pharmacology

Dot is a strong, synthetic antispasmodic medicine that is quickly absorbed by the body. Dot works directly on smooth muscle fibers, similar to other medications but with a stronger effect. Dot works fast, which is useful for sudden, painful muscle spasms. Besides relaxing muscles, Dot also helps widen blood vessels and blocks certain heart receptors.

Dosage & Administration

Adults: Take 1 to 2 tablets three times a day, or 2 to 4 ml of the injection under the skin or muscle one to three times. For severe pain from stones, 2 to 4 ml can be injected slowly into a vein. For problems with blood flow or blocked arteries, the injection can be given directly into the artery. Children: Smaller doses should be given based on age and weight, usually 1/4 to 1/2 tablet once or twice a day, or 1/2 to 1 tablet daily for adolescents. For ulcers, Dot is recommended to take Dot with atropine or similar drugs.

Interaction

Dot may reduce the effectiveness of levodopa. Taking Dot with painkillers, antimuscarinics, or benzodiazepines can have an extra helpful effect.

Contraindications

Dot should not be used by people who are allergic to Dot.

Side Effects

In rare cases, Dot may cause nausea and dizziness.

Pregnancy & Lactation

There have been no animal studies showing birth defects, but Dot is better to avoid using Dot during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

People with liver or kidney problems should be cautious when using Dot.
