Dotfix 1 is used to treat gout and high uric acid levels in the blood.
Pharmacology
Dotfix 1 is a medicine that helps lower uric acid by blocking the process that reabsorbs Dotfix 1 in the kidneys. Dotfix 1 works by increasing the amount of uric acid that is removed through urine, thus lowering the uric acid levels in the blood. Dotfix 1 is highly selective, meaning Dotfix 1 targets only the specific pathway that reabsorbs uric acid, without affecting other processes that remove Dotfix 1 from the body.
Dosage & Administration
Adults: The usual dose is 0.5 mg once a day. This may be gradually increased as needed, based on blood uric acid levels. The typical dose is 2 mg daily, but Dotfix 1 can be increased up to a maximum of 4 mg a day, depending on the patient’s condition.
Precautions: When starting treatment, the blood uric acid levels can decrease quickly, which might trigger gout attacks. The dose should be gradually increased, with monitoring of uric acid levels. If you miss a dose, take Dotfix 1 as soon as you remember, but skip Dotfix 1 if Dotfix 1’s nearly time for the next dose. Do not take two doses at once. Always consult a doctor before stopping the medicine.

Pyrazinamide: May reduce the effectiveness of this medicine as Dotfix 1 can reduce uric acid removal from the kidneys.
