Indications
Ginoba ER is used for improving memory and attention, especially in conditions like Alzheimer’s disease and multi-infarct dementia. Ginoba ER helps with vertigo and ringing in the ear, and can improve walking distance in people with Peripheral Arterial Occlusive Disease. Ginoba ER may also be helpful for acute cochlear deafness, sexual dysfunction caused by SSRI use, and protection during low oxygen levels.
Pharmacology
Ginoba ER inhibits platelet-activating factor (PAF), which helps prevent platelet aggregation and improves blood flow. This leads to better cognition, memory, and social function, especially in dementia patients. Ginoba ER can also improve attention, concentration, mood, and sleep in older people, and reduce tinnitus in people with dementia.
Dosage & Administration
For Ginkgo Biloba 60 mg: 1 or 2 capsules daily or as directed by the physician.
For Ginkgo Biloba 120 mg: 1 or 2 capsules daily or as directed by the physician.

Contraindications
Ginoba ER should be used with caution in people taking blood thinners like warfarin, heparin, or aspirin. Ginoba ER is not recommended for people with bleeding disorders or those scheduled for surgery. Ginoba ER is also contraindicated for people at risk of brain bleeding.
Side Effects
When used as directed, side effects are rare. In clinical trials with 10,000 patients, side effects were minimal. Some cases of headaches, dizziness, palpitations, stomach issues, and allergic skin reactions occurred. Overdosing can cause diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, restlessness, and weakness.

Precautions & Warnings
Tell your doctor if you are allergic to Ginoba ER, have bleeding issues, seizures, or epilepsy. Ginoba ER may reduce the blood’s ability to clot, so stop taking Ginoba ER at least 2 weeks before surgery.
