Indications

Gynova 2 is used for short-term treatment of symptoms that happen after the end of monthly periods, or after surgery to remove ovaries or radiation therapy for non-cancerous diseases. Symptoms include hot flashes, sweating, trouble sleeping, mood changes, irritability, headaches, and dizziness. Gynova 2 also helps with bladder irritation and signs of skin and mucous tissue changes, especially in the genital area, which happen as we age.

Pharmacology

Gynova 2 is a hormone that helps balance the body’s estrogen levels, which can drop during menopause or after certain surgeries. This helps relieve the symptoms of menopause and other conditions caused by low estrogen.

Dosage & Administration

General Use: Gynova 2 is important to continue hormone therapy only if the benefits outweigh the risks of side effects. A full medical check-up should be done before starting the treatment and regularly after that. The doctor will decide how often you need these check-ups. Usually, Gynova 2 is taken once a day, and the tablets should be swallowed whole with water. The treatment is continuous, so you start a new pack right after finishing the previous one. If you miss a dose, you can take Gynova 2 within 12-24 hours, but irregular bleeding might occur if you miss more doses.

Important Notes: Hormone therapy should not be used for too long, and the need for treatment should be checked every 6 months. If you are taking high doses or long-term estrogen therapy, Gynova 2 may increase the risk of endometrial cancer. Progestogen should be added during the last 10-14 days of each month to prevent endometrial changes. Always follow the doctor’s instructions and attend the check-up appointments regularly.

Interaction

Laboratory Tests: Hormone therapy may affect some body tests, including liver, thyroid, kidney, and adrenal functions. Gynova 2 can also impact certain blood proteins, fat levels, sugar levels, and blood clotting factors.

Other Medicines: Some drugs, like anticonvulsants and antibiotics, can reduce the effect of estrogen therapy. You may need to adjust other medications if you are taking this drug. Always inform your doctor about any other medicines you’re using.

Contraindications

Gynova 2 should not be used in people who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have certain conditions like unexplained vaginal bleeding, breast cancer, liver problems, blood clots, or a history of such conditions. Gynova 2 is also not safe for people with severe diabetes, high cholesterol, or allergies to any of its components.

Side Effects

Side effects may include nausea, vomiting, headaches, or changes in your period. Some people may experience swelling, weight gain, or changes in mood. If any of these side effects bother you, contact your doctor.

Pregnancy & Lactation

Gynova 2 is not safe to use during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. If you become pregnant while taking this medicine, stop taking Gynova 2 immediately and consult your doctor. Some animal studies suggest risks, but the relevance for humans is unclear.

Precautions & Warnings

Carefully weigh the benefits and risks before starting hormone therapy, especially if you have any conditions that could increase the risk of blood clots, stroke, or cancer. Gynova 2 is important to use the lowest effective dose for the shortest time possible. If you have any of the risk factors, your doctor may reassess your treatment periodically.

Overdose Effects

If you take too much, you might experience nausea, vomiting, or bleeding. However, no serious harm is expected in case of an overdose. Always contact your doctor for advice on managing an overdose.

Therapeutic Class

Gynova 2 is classified as a female sex hormone.
