Indications

Quiet 100 is used to treat both short-term and long-term mental health conditions, such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. Quiet 100 helps manage manic and depressive episodes related to bipolar disorder, and prevents future episodes when used with other treatments.

Pharmacology

Quiet 100 is a type of medicine that affects several brain chemicals. Quiet 100 works by blocking certain receptors in the brain, such as serotonin and dopamine, which are linked to mood and behavior. Quiet 100 also affects other chemicals like histamine, which can cause drowsiness, and adrenergic receptors, which can lead to low blood pressure.

Dosage & Administration

Acute and chronic psychoses (including schizophrenia): Quiet 100 should be taken twice a day with or without food. Start with a low dose and increase gradually to 300-450 mg per day, based on your doctor’s instructions.

Manic episodes (bipolar disorder): Quiet 100 should be taken twice a day with or without food. Start with 100 mg and gradually increase to 400-800 mg per day depending on your response to the medicine.

Depressive episodes (bipolar disorder): Quiet 100 should be taken once a day at bedtime with or without food, usually 300 mg a day. The dose can be increased if necessary.

Maintenance treatment (bipolar I disorder with mood stabilizers): Continue with the same dose that worked during acute treatment, adjusted based on how you respond to the medicine.

Interaction

Quiet 100 should be used carefully if taken with medicines that affect electrolyte levels or heart rhythm. Some drugs, like thioridazine or carbamazepine, may increase how quickly Quiet 100 leaves your body.
