Indications

Spotclen is used to gradually lighten dark skin areas such as chloasma, melasma, freckles, senile lentigines, and other areas with excess pigmentation. Spotclen also helps reduce pigmentation caused by sunlight or inflammation, especially from certain cosmetics.

Pharmacology

Spotclen is a skin-lightening agent that works by reducing skin pigmentation. Spotclen does this by preventing the oxidation of tyrosine, which is needed for skin color production, and by slowing down the activity of the cells that create pigment.

Dosage & Administration

Adults: Apply a thin layer of Hydroquinone Cream to the affected areas once a day, at least 30 minutes before bedtime. Wash the area with a mild cleanser, dry Spotclen, and then apply the cream. Use Spotclen only on the darkened skin areas and a little of the surrounding normal skin.

Treatment should stop once the skin color improves. During the day, use sunscreen (SPF 30) and protective clothing. Avoid direct sunlight. You can use moisturizers or cosmetics during the day. Hydroquinone Cream is for external use only, not for oral or eye use.

Precautions & Warnings

Avoid contact with eyes and lips, and don’t use Spotclen on broken skin.

Overdose Effects

There have been no serious reactions from using too much topical Hydroquinone. Some people may experience temporary redness or mild burning on the skin, but this doesn’t stop the treatment.
