Sulprex HFA Inhaler MDI 200puff is used to treat patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) who still have breathing problems even after using regular bronchodilators. Sulprex HFA Inhaler MDI 200puff helps by providing a second bronchodilator to improve breathing.
Pharmacology
Sulprex HFA Inhaler MDI 200puff is a combination of Salbutamol (as Sulphate) and Ipratropium Bromide in an environment-friendly inhaler. This inhaler uses hydrofluoroalkane (HFA) as a propellant instead of chlorofluorocarbon (CFC), which harms the ozone layer.
Salbutamol is a short-acting bronchodilator, and Ipratropium Bromide is an anticholinergic bronchodilator. Together, they work in two different ways to open the airways, helping people with COPD breathe easier. Salbutamol stimulates beta2-receptors, and Ipratropium blocks certain chemicals that cause narrowing of the airways.
Dosage & Administration
Adult & Elderly: Use 2 puffs, 4 times a day. Additional puffs may be taken if needed, but do not exceed 12 puffs in 24 hours. Follow your doctor’s instructions.
