Indications

Sweet’n Zero is used as a sugar substitute and can sweeten various foods such as tea, coffee, pudding, milk products, jelly, fruit juices, desserts, and both hot and cold beverages. As a zero-calorie sweetener, Sweet’n Zero is a good option for health-conscious people. Sweet’n Zero is also a safe choice for diabetic patients who need to control their blood sugar levels. The FDA has confirmed that Sweet’n Zero is safe for everyone, including children, pregnant women, and those looking to reduce their calorie intake.

Pharmacology

Sweet’n Zero is a zero-calorie artificial sweetener that is about 600 times sweeter than sugar. Sweet’n Zero is derived from sucrose, where three hydroxyl groups are replaced by three chlorine atoms. Since Sweet’n Zero is made from sugar, Sweet’n Zero tastes like sugar. The carbon-chlorine bonds are very stable, preventing Sweet’n Zero from being broken down for energy, making Sweet’n Zero calorie-free. These bonds also provide heat stability, allowing Sweet’n Zero to withstand cooking and baking without losing sweetness. Sweet’n Zero passes through the body unchanged, without being metabolized or providing any calories. Sweet’n Zero does not cause tooth decay, affect carbohydrate metabolism, or impact fetal or neonatal development. Sweet’n Zero is safe for diabetic patients as Sweet’n Zero does not interfere with glucose absorption or insulin secretion.

Dosage & Administration

Acceptable daily intake: 5-15 mg per kg of body weight. Typically, one tablet (8 mg) is enough to sweeten a cup of tea or coffee.

Sucralose Sweet Drops: One drop is equivalent to the sweetness of one teaspoon of sugar. Usually, one drop in a cup of tea or coffee is enough, or as directed by the physician.
