Indications

Tizaro 7.5 SC Injection is used along with diet and exercise to help control blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes.

Pharmacology

Tizaro 7.5 SC Injection is a medication that works by activating two receptors in the body called GIP and GLP-1. This helps to increase insulin secretion and reduce glucagon levels when blood sugar is high. Tizaro 7.5 SC Injection also helps to slow down stomach emptying.

Dosage & Administration

Adult & Elderly: Tizaro 7.5 SC Injection should be injected under the skin once a week. The starting dose is 2.5 mg, and after 4 weeks, the dose can be increased to 5 mg. The maximum dose is 15 mg. If a dose is missed, Tizaro 7.5 SC Injection should be taken within 4 days. If more than 4 days pass, skip the dose and take the next one as scheduled.

Preparation: Protect the syringe from light and do not freeze Tizaro 7.5 SC Injection. Always inspect Tizaro 7.5 SC Injection for particles or discoloration before use. Do not dilute or mix Tizaro 7.5 SC Injection with other medications.

Administration: Tizaro 7.5 SC Injection can be injected in the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm. Rotate the injection sites with each dose.

Interaction

Tizaro 7.5 SC Injection may interact with other medications, especially insulin or medications that increase insulin release. Patients taking oral medications that depend on specific levels in the blood should be monitored closely. Tizaro 7.5 SC Injection may also affect the absorption of some oral medicines. Women using hormonal contraceptives should switch to non-oral methods or use a barrier method for 4 weeks after starting or increasing the dose.

Contraindications

Tizaro 7.5 SC Injection is not recommended for patients who are allergic to Tizaro 7.5 SC Injection or any of its ingredients. Tizaro 7.5 SC Injection should also be avoided by patients with a family history of thyroid cancer or certain genetic conditions like multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome type 2.

Side Effects

The most common side effects are nausea, diarrhea, loss of appetite, vomiting, constipation, indigestion, and stomach pain.

Pregnancy & Lactation

If pregnant or breastfeeding, consult a doctor before using Tizaro 7.5 SC Injection. Tizaro 7.5 SC Injection should only be used during pregnancy if the potential benefits outweigh the risks to the baby.

Precautions & Warnings

Patients should be informed about the risk of thyroid cancer and pancreas problems. If symptoms of pancreatitis appear, the medication should be stopped immediately. If any allergic reactions or kidney problems occur, the treatment should be discontinued. Tizaro 7.5 SC Injection should be used carefully in patients with diabetic eye problems, and gallbladder issues should be monitored.

Overdose Effects

If an overdose occurs, the patient should receive supportive care based on symptoms. Tizaro 7.5 SC Injection may take up to 5 days to clear from the body.
