Pharmacology
Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune disease that causes inflammation and joint damage due to abnormal immune cell activity. Tofacitinib works by blocking the signals from certain proteins in the body that cause inflammation and immune cell activation. This helps reduce inflammation and damage to the joints.
Xelnib 5 works by inhibiting the JAK-STAT pathway, which is important in immune cell function and the production of red blood cells. Tofacitinib may also have other ways of reducing inflammation.
