Indications

Xirom is used for treating inflammation and reducing eye pain after cataract surgery.

Pharmacology

Xirom is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that works by blocking the production of prostaglandins, chemicals that cause inflammation in the eye. This helps to reduce swelling and discomfort after cataract surgery.

Dosage & Administration

One drop should be applied to the affected eye(s) once daily, starting the day before cataract surgery and continuing for 14 days after the surgery.

Topical NSAIDs like this one may slow healing. Xirom should be used with caution in patients with bleeding tendencies or those on medications that affect blood clotting.

Storage Conditions

Store in a cool, dry place, away from light. Keep out of reach of children. Close the bottle tightly after use and avoid touching the dropper to any surfaces. Do not use after 4 weeks of first opening.
