Indications
Xtreme is used to treat premature ejaculation in men aged 18 to 64. Xtreme helps those who experience persistent or recurring ejaculation with minimal stimulation, causing distress or relationship issues.
Pharmacology
Xtreme works by increasing serotonin levels in the brain, which helps delay ejaculation. The nervous system controls ejaculation through brain signals and spinal reflexes. Xtreme is quickly absorbed, reaching peak levels in 1-2 hours, and is mostly bound to proteins in the blood. Xtreme is processed in the liver and leaves the body mainly through urine.
Dosage & Administration
Adults (18-64 years): The starting dose is 30 mg, taken 1 to 3 hours before sexual activity. If needed, the dose can be increased to 60 mg. Xtreme should not be taken more than once in 24 hours.
Children & Elderly: Not recommended for individuals under 18 or over 65 years due to limited data.
Patients with kidney or liver issues: Those with kidney problems should use Xtreme cautiously, and Xtreme should not be used by those with severe liver issues.
Interaction
Xtreme should be used cautiously with medications affecting the nervous system. Xtreme can interact with PDE5 inhibitors, some antidepressants, and alpha-blockers. Alcohol can increase side effects like dizziness and slow reflexes, so Xtreme should be avoided while taking this medicine.
Contraindications
Xtreme should not be used by individuals allergic to its components, those with serious heart conditions, or those taking certain antidepressants and monoamine oxidase inhibitors. Xtreme should also be avoided if there is a history of fainting or severe liver disease.
Side Effects
Common side effects include nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, headache, diarrhea, and trouble sleeping. Some users may experience fainting or low blood pressure. Unlike other antidepressants, Xtreme has a lower risk of sexual dysfunction.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Xtreme is not for use by women. Xtreme is unknown whether Xtreme passes into breast milk.
