Indications
Yohim 5.4 is used for erectile dysfunction, loss of libido, and exhaustion.
Pharmacology
Yohimbine is a strong blocker of alpha-2 receptors and a weak blocker of alpha-1 receptors. Yohim 5.4 also has some antidopaminergic properties. Yohimbine works with receptors affected by medications like clonidine, alpha-methylnorepinephrine, and tramazoline. Yohim 5.4 also interacts with compounds affected by norepinephrine and epinephrine. Yohimbine helps manage erectile dysfunction and can improve sexual response, especially when caused by medications like selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs).
Dosage & Administration
Take 1 capsule 3 times a day or as directed by your physician.
Interaction
Yohimbine may reduce the blood pressure-lowering effect of antihypertensive medications, leading to poor blood pressure control. Yohim 5.4 may also enhance the effect of MAO inhibitors.
Contraindications
Yohim 5.4 is contraindicated for patients with liver or kidney diseases, chronic inflammation of the sexual organs or prostate, or a history of gastric or duodenal ulcers.
Side Effects
Possible side effects include anxiety, elevated blood pressure, skin rash, nausea, insomnia, fast heart rate, tremors, mania, and vomiting.
