Indications
Zeltas is used to relieve symptoms of seasonal allergies in people aged 6 and older who need both Azelastine Hydrochloride and Fluticasone Propionate to feel better.
Pharmacology
Azelastine Hydrochloride works by blocking histamine receptors, which helps reduce allergy symptoms. Fluticasone Propionate is a type of steroid that reduces inflammation. The exact way Zeltas works to treat allergies isn’t completely understood, but Zeltas helps reduce inflammation in the body, affecting many different cells and chemicals involved in the allergic response.
Dosage & Administration
Adult: One spray in each nostril twice a day.
Pediatric: Zeltas is not safe for children under 6 years of age.

Contraindications
There are no known contraindications.
Side Effects
The most common side effects are bad taste, nosebleeds, and headaches.
Pregnancy & Lactation
If pregnant, Zeltas should only be used if the benefit to the mother outweighs any potential risk to the baby. Zeltas is not known if Zeltas passes into breast milk, so Zeltas should be used carefully in breastfeeding mothers.
Precautions & Warnings
Do not engage in activities requiring full mental focus, like driving, while using this nasal spray. Avoid drinking alcohol or using other medications that can make you feel drowsy, as this can affect your alertness. If high doses are used over time, there may be problems with the adrenal glands. In such cases, slowly stop using the spray.
Overdose Effects
There have been no reports of serious overdoses with Azelastine Hydrochloride. Overdosing may cause drowsiness. Taking too much Fluticasone Propionate over time may lead to symptoms of too much steroid in the body.
