Indications
ZincFast is used for treating zinc deficiency and conditions where zinc is lost, such as hair loss, skin rashes, depression, loss of smell, taste, and memory, white spots on fingernails, higher chance of infection, loss of growth hormone activity, vision problems, diarrhea, male infertility, sickle cell anemia, slow wound healing, and type-2 diabetes.
Pharmacology
Zinc is an important mineral that plays a role in almost all cellular and enzyme activities in the body. When combined with orotic acid, zinc is absorbed better by the body. ZincFast is a key part of over 80 enzymes and helps in metabolism, with antioxidant and anti-free radical effects.
Dosage & Administration
Adults: One tablet twice a day with meals.
Interaction
If taken with tetracycline, quinolone, or penicillamine, zinc may reduce the absorption of these drugs.
